This past week has been a tough one for myself. My grandfather had a heart attack, so I was with him, and worried about him, so I didn’t really stick to my diet/exercise routine.
Then I found out I won’t be getting any financial aide for Fall Semester. So I have to come up with $1000 by myself. It’s going to be a tough one. I have some plans, but I don’t know if they are going to work out.
This is a new week though, and I get paid on Tuesday. I plan on getting a gym membership, and start working out in an actual gym. I cannot wait (:

So today wasn’t as good as planned.
I drank soda, and I had fried food, and I had fast food.
I was at work, and a tender grill sandwich just looked SO good.
Tomorrow though, starts a brand new day. No soda, no fast food, nothing. I’m sticking to this diet and exercise routine, because I need this to happen. I want this to happen.
So, I’m getting off here, and starting my new sleeping routine. Night everybody :)
So I have decided to cut it down to 10, so that I can try to accomplish them, and not have too many to do. 10 seems like an easy number, and it is obtainable. So here we go :)
1. Stop eating fast food. None of it. I don’t care if it doesn’t have that many calories in it, I don’t want to be tempted to get something more.
2. No more soda. Soda pop carries way too many calories for me to be drinking it nonstop.
3. Try my best to bring up my Intro to Lit grade. I’m wanting a better GPA so that I can easily get into Alaska.
4. Workout at least 5 times a week. Working out will easily help my weight loss goals :)
5. Lose at least 10 pounds by the end of September. 2 1/2 pounds a week should be easily obtainable.
6. Start a conversation with 2 new people at OCC. Getting new friends is always a plus :)
7. Get on a regular sleeping schedule. I want to go to bed by 10pm every night, so that I can get get enough sleep every night so that I can be prepared for the next day :)
8. Save money up to buy a new car.
9. Pay my bills on time!!!!
10. Buy a new hoodie for winter <3. Sales are going on, right under my nose, and I’m missing out because I’m too cheap to actually buy me something that I need. So I’m wanting to buy a new hoody, and maybe a couple of shirts :)
So yeah, this is it. This is my “10 things to do in September” list. Sounds like it is going to be a busy month :)

Oooh wow. What can I even say? Well let me catch you up with what has been happening with my life thus far.
I decided to quit Burger King about a monthish ago, and try to get a job in a nursing home. Well I got the nursing home job, and then they decided that I needed more paperwork done, that I didn’t have. So they gave me the option of either quitting or being fired. So I quit.
So now I’m back at Burger King, which is WAY better than any job I have ever had. I love it there, and I love my boss.
Connie, my boss, has asked me to start working out with her, and I have. I have gone twice, nothing special, but I can feel the difference. My legs and arms are starting to hurt me today, but it’s a good hurt? lol.
Last night I also found out exactly, well almost exactly, I weigh. I weighed myself three times because I thought the scale was broken, but it wasn’t. I cried when I finally realized how much I weigh, because I cannot believe I let myself get this far.
My boss knew something was up, and quickly came over, and told me that it’s not about how much I weigh now, because that is just a starting number, and that it will change with time. I’m literally in tears at this point, still pissed at myself for what I have become. I will state this number later on in the blog for the people who want to know.
So, I’m starting new. Starting my life where I want it to be. Healthy. It’s not about losing weight, it’s about bettering myself so that I can accomplish the many dreams that I have.
First, I’m going to stop drinking soda. I remember back when I played football, I lost about 35 pounds just because I stopped drinking soda before the season. It adds unnecessary calories that I do not want. Water here I come <3
Another thing I am cutting out, is fried foods. I never thought they could be as bad as they are. Frying foods destroys all of the nutrients that are in the actual food. I can find other ways of eating.
Also, I’m not going to be eating fast food from this day on. None of it. I’m done. I work at burger king, and I know how bad these foods are for me to eat, but I never gave it a second look. Even the grilled chicken, which is supposed to be better for you, but it actually isn’t. I’m stopping.
Starting a workout plan will be beneficial to me so that I can start a daily routine of walking, stretching, lifting weights, or some other activity to keep me going throughout the day. So after I get off here, I’m going to be thinking, and writing down things that I find fun in my life, and incorporating some “workouts” in them. I will post some of them in a later blog :)
So now is the whole reason why I’m posting this blog. My “number”. I have decided that for me to start losing weight and being a healthier “Kevin”, I have to tell the world exactly how much I weigh, just to get the stress off of my shoulders. The first time I weighed myself, it came up to 448 pounds. Then it was 452 pounds, and the finally it evened out to be 449 pounds. So this is my starting point. 449 pounds. :) I can now say this with confidence because I KNOW that I will be losing the weight.
I’m hoping to lose 100 pounds by the start of my new life in Alaska. So I have 11 months to get there. This means, that I have to lose just a little bit less than two and a half pounds per week until August of next year :). I think I can do it lol.

Also my next blog will be my “30 things to do in September” blog, even though it won’t be anywhere near 30 lol. Maybe 10?

It’s been a while since I have blogged, so I thought, why not this morning before I do anything today. A couple days ago, I decided to go on a website called Paperback Swap, it is so freaking amazing. I have about 16 books listed, and one of them is already being requested. So today, when I am done writing this blog, I am running to town to mail it off.
My weight loss is still going strong, I have yet to buy a scale, so I don’t know exactly how much I have lost, but I can really tell it in my face. My eyes don’t have the “swollen” look anymore. Which is good, because I hated it lol.
I went shopping, and got some great clothes, and I even bought a shirt a size smaller than me, so when I can wear it, it will be an amazing accomplishment.
I also started cleaning my room yesterday. I never thought it was THIS messy, but it is lol. I still have to do laundry today, but it’s almost done nonetheless.

Last night, was an extremely good night for myself, except for the original chicken sandwich I ate lol.
I had some sprite again, but it was because the water wasn’t full in drive thru.
Then I woke up this morning, and couldn’t get to the bank in enough time, and decided to go to WalMart, and well. Those bastards wouldn’t let me get a prepaid credit card with checks. So Cathy, Caitlin’s mom, has decided to give me the money for monday =)

So today was horrible. I didn’t pay attention to anything I wanted to do. Maybe it was because I was too busy? Maybe I just make too many excuses? But whatever, it doesn’t help that I didn’t follow with what I wanted to do.
First, I ate fried foods. French fries just looked SO good at work lol. Then I had some pop, sprite, so no caffeine, but I still would like to not drink soda.
I also didn’t go on a walk today, I walked around Walmart, but that doesn’t count. Tomorrow will be a MUCH better day. Then I am off Saturday, and then I have to work Sunday. BUT THEN I AM GOING SHOPPING WITH CAITLIN ON MONDAY!!!! YAY

Today, I decided that I was going to take a step out into the world, and get myself my own cell phone plan. I need to stop clinging to the parents for every little thing that I need. I have a job, and I make enough money to cover some expenses, so I figured why not? I got a Blackberry Tour, it is quite AMAZING lol. I LOVE it. It is so freaking nice.
But yeah, Tomorrow, July 1st 2010, marks my starting date. I’m going to start working out atleast 15min a day. Walks especially. I am thinking I will be getting up early in the morning, instead of sleeping in all the time, and taking a little walk. This will help start my day. I am also going to be buying fresh fruit tomorrow. I can never get enough fruit, but I hate the process of preparing it. I figure this way, I will be able to make my food, so it will taste even better while eating it for breakfast, or a snack.
I have also decided that I am going to quit drinking soda, it has a lot of empty calories, and I consume WAY to much of it at work. I can just as easily grab a cup of water as I can soda.
I have yet again decided to cut out all fried foods. I love them WAY to much to eat them. Nothing good can come from greasy fatty food.

So lately, I have been thinking about myself, and how I look to myself. I decided that I want to change. Not to lose weight, but to be healthy, and the only way I can do this is if I am organized, and I think blogger will help me. If you wanna help, I would appreciate it, I love to listen to people’s feedback.
First, I am going to start by waking up every morning at 8am. I work nights, so waking up early will help me better myself. Then I am going to take a shower, because imo, looking your best for that day is a great way to get yourself motivated.
I work Wednesday through Sunday, and go to school on Monday’s, and then I have clinicals on Tuesdays. So my time is very limited. I will try my best to work out during the week, and I am currently thinking of idea’s to help me along the way, so if someone is reading this, and has some good ideas, please share them, I would be GLAD to listen to you.

I have been working on my meteorology grade, turning in homework (2 assignments, but hey, it is something.) And I have two tests tomorrow in the classes I stated that I wanted to get A's on. Stats and Eastern Civ. I am fairly confidant in the stats, but the Eastern Civ is what I am worrying about.
We take about 3 pages of notes each time we are in class, and he doesn't give us anything other than those to study with. I get extremely bored while reading these, so I need to come up with other ideas. Does anybody have any ideas for me? I am open to about anything lol.
